General Modifier

General Modifier works like the following:

• On the left side of modifier screen, there are buttons such as Add, No, Less, Light, etc.
• On the right side, there are modifier items such as onion, pepper, meat, etc.
• If you click on any button on the left, then click on the button on the right, the combination of the modifiers will be added to the order line item. For example, if you click on Add on the left first, then click on Chicken on the right, "Add Chicken" modifier will be added to the Order Line Item, or if you click on No on the left first, then Onion on the right, "No Onion" will be added to the order line item
• By default, Add and On the side will have price as defined in the modifier set up, others such as No, Light, Less will have no prices

Set up General Modifier for a category

• Go to Back Office, then menu set up
• Click on Menu Item Set Up, Click on Modifiers button next to the category
• Select a modifier group such as toppings in the drop down, click on Edit button
• Check the General CheckBox
• Save and close

Set up General Modifier for an Item

• Go to Back Office, then menu set up
• Click on Menu Item Set Up, Click on Items next to a category
• Click on Modifiers button next to the item
• Select a modifier group such as toppings in the drop down, click on Edit button
• Check the General CheckBox
• Save and close

Change General Modifier Name or Hide Certain General Modifier

• In advance set up, change the values for addAs, substituteAs, noAs, lightAs, lessAs, onlyAs
• To hide a general modifier, change the value for addAs, substituteAs, noAs, lightAs, lessAs  or  onlyAs to N
• Save, close and restart
